1. Introduction Welcome to AthensScubaPark.com. By accessing our website and booking services with Athens Scuba Park ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.
2. Scuba Diving & Safety Requirements
- Certification: All divers must present a valid certification card (C-Card) from a recognized agency (PADI, NAUI, SSI, etc.) upon check-in. We reserve the right to refuse service to any diver who cannot provide proof of certification.
- Staying off bottom of lake ASP has a clay bottom that can be stirred up if you run into the bottom. ASP has the right to ask anyone to leave who is purposly merking up the conditions for other divers.
- Solo Diving: Solo diving is [Strictly Prohibited / Allowed only with Solo Certification]. All divers must have a buddy.
- Waivers: All guests (divers, snorkelers, non-divers, & spectators) must sign a Liability Release Waiver before entering the water or using the facility. For minors, a waiver must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. Anyone under 18 must have a guardian signed in to be with them during their stay. Kids can not be dropped off for them to go dive or swim.
- Visibility: Water visibility varies naturally. Please check our daily updated water conditons to see if the conditons meet your needs. ASP staff will not allow dive training when conditions are poor for beginner classes. That includes personal classes and 3rd-party dive shops who bring classes out. This is only for Open Water (Beginner) classes. Rainchecks are given majoity of the time for people to come back another day the conditions are better. Entry fee is included in the raincheck but Rental Gear is not. Full Refunds are never given.
ASP staff does do a safe annual Flock Treament in the early spring to help settle clay particles and improve visibility for the upcoming season. The lake is closed for 2 weeks for treatment to run its course. Treatment has no impact on divers, their gear, or the way they need to dive. Same process is done for your drinking water at home to remove solids from the water to make it clean and drinkable. Water tests are done before re-opening to make sure there is nothing to affect divers and gear. We are all about safety when it comes to our customers!
3. Reservations & Cancellations
- Booking: Reservations for camping and pavilions are recommended but not requiured. If you want a specific dock site w/pavilion, then a reservation is needed.
- RV Sites: Deposit is required to reserve RV Sites. Cancellations must happen no sooner than 48 Hrs before reservation. If it happens in the 48 hour time from your arrival date, no refund will be given.
- Weather Policy: Athens Scuba Park dive shop operates rain or shine. Lake will be closed for ALL WATER ACTIVITIES during storms and bad weather. ASP is also closed when air temp is below freezing temperatures. Rainchecks can be given to customers who are diving and have to leave due to weather. Under no circumstances can you be in the lake during bad weather.
4. Dive Shop Sales & Online Store
- Online Store All sales are final. If the product is used after purchase, no refund can be recieved. If defective within warranty time frame, warranty will replace the unit with brand new item or sent to manufacturer to fix the issue if applicable. Store credit can be given if no replacement is available.
- Dive Shop Sales All dive shop sales are considered final once it leaves the shop. There are no refunds. This does not include customers taking training and trying out gear for their open water classes, as these customers have a trial period to see what works for them.
