Q: Can I let my non-certified friend breathe off my "octopus" (backup 2nd Stage) so they can experience being underwater?
A: NO, absolutely not. For the safety of our guests, this is strictly prohibited. Scuba diving involves many changes that require formal training to manage. A non-certified person does not know the essential techniques required to avoid serious injury, such as lung overexpansion, even in shallow water.
Q: Does Athens Scuba Park allow solo diving?
A: Yes, we do support solo diving for those with the proper qualifications. To dive solo at the park, you must:
Q: Can I bring my dog or other pets to the park?
A: Yes! We are a pet-friendly facility and allow pets on the property. However, to ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests, we ask that you follow these simple "Paws at the Park" rules:
Q: Why won't you fill my Nitrox tank with air? A: Our Stark Industry filtration system produces high-quality CGA Grade E air. While this is 100% safe for diving, it is not currently certified as "Oxygen Compatible Air" (OCA). Filling a dedicated Nitrox tank with standard air can void its "Oxygen Clean" status, requiring you to pay for professional servicing before your next Nitrox fill. We follow this policy to protect your equipment and save you unnecessary maintenance costs.
Q: Do I need to show my certification card to dive?
A: Yes. All divers must present a valid C-card (PADI, SDI, NAUI, SSI, etc.) and sign our liability waiver before entering the water.
Q: Can I camp at the park?
A: Absolutely. We offer on-site camping which is a favorite for our weekend divers. In fact, our 2026 Membership includes unlimited diving, snorkeling, and camping for the entire season!
