PARK RULES

Scuba & Water Safety

  • Certification Required: Proof of at least an Open Water Certification is required to scuba dive at our facility unless you are in training.
  • Solo Diving: Solo diving is prohibited unless you hold a valid Solo Diver/Self-Reliant certification and have the proper redundant & necessary gear.
  • Lake Entry: Entry into the lake is only allowed on docks and designated walk in area.
  • Propulsion Devices: No underwater scooters (DPVs) or any watercraft with a propeller/motor are allowed in the lake.
  • Lake & Alcohol: You may not enter the water if you have consumed alcohol. ASP Staff has the right to decline access to the lake or pool if suspected the user is intoxicated or under the influence of any drugs.
  • Floatation Device on Water: ALL guests MUST have a floatation device. Anyone swimming/snorkeling/kayaking is required to have a life jacket or some sort of floatation device. Floats can be tied around buoys to keep it from floating away while you submerge.
  • Keep off the bottom/banks of lake: To keep our clarity as top notch as it can be, wading into the water or standing on the bottom in restricted areas is prohibited.

General Park Policies

  • Waivers: All guests must sign a liability waiver upon entry. Minors (under 18) must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian and must be supervised by a guardian at all times.
  • Check In: If staying off property and coming back, all guests must check in before going around lake to dock site.
  • No Lifeguard on Duty: Swim and dive at your own risk. If you cannot swim, do not enter the water or engage in ANY water activities.
  • Alcohol Policy: Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited while doing any water related activities. Alcohol may only be consumed inside your RV or at your campsite after you are done diving for the day. If staff suspects intoxication, you will be denied access to the lake.
  • Glass Containers: No glass bottles or containers of any kind are allowed anywhere on the property.
  • Metal Detecting: Metal detecting is prohibited on land or in the lake unless you are conducting a specific training session authorized in advance by ASP staff.
  • Wreck Penetration: Diving inside wrecks is strictly prohibited unless you have the proper training. (Wreck Diver certification)
  • Suspicious Activity: Report any problems to the Dive Shop staff.

Camping & Overnight

  • Quiet Hours: Noise curfew is 11:00 PM. Please respect your neighbors.
  • Fires: Our facility is in the city limits. No open ground fires. You can bring your own fire pit (must have a lid or guard), but you are responsible for any damage to the grass or property. Please ask ASP staff where firpits are allowed to be placed.
  • Cleanliness: Please pick up all tent stakes and trash before checking out. Please leave your campsite cleaner than you found it.
  • Pets: Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times you are outside of your dock site area. Pets are not allowed to be left unattended at campsites. Dogs can only enter the water from designated sites. Walking on the banks or silting up visibility for divers will result in you and your dog being asked to leave.
  • Gate Hours: The main gate closes promptly at 6:00 PM on Sundays.

  • Prohibited Vehicles: ATVs, RTVs, Side-by-Sides, and loud vehicles are not allowed for recreational use.
